Wednesday’s Photos
Ferns, Streams and Mountains
From the lakeshore up into the mountains, where the streams are regaining their strength after the heavy rains, the signs of late autumn are everywhere. Especially noticeable are the golden pattern-rich branches of the fern. The moisture-laden fog patches are hanging over lake and mountains longer and longer, as the weakened sun fails to penetrate the clouds. Nevertheless there is beauty to be found for those who take the time to look. These pictures have been taken in November. Enjoy.
What a wonderful area you live in!

Peter-these are wonderful! I like the first one but the third one with the ferns should be submitted for a nature photo calendar. Composition and color are perfect and really show the simple beauty of your area.
I have printed small photos from my blog community to hang on my office door. Your fern picture will now join my group.😊

Thank you for the honour of having one of my pictures hanging on your office door. Could you publish a photo on your blog?

Of course! I was planning on doing an end of year tribute to those blogs I follow and this could be part of yours.😊

Those fern leaves are pretty and something that we don’t have here in this part of the world. Thanks for sending some freshness from your world.

I thought ferns could be found everywhere except on Antarctica. Thank you for your kind comment, Arv!

The hot and dry weather makes it difficult for the fern to survive here. You can find it in the Himalayas for sure. 🙂

Beautiful, and nicely composed shots. The ferns are lovely at all stages of their lives – and come to think of it, they deserve a medal, as they turn from green to bronze, silver, or like yours, gold. 🙂

Thank you, Robert. That was a wonderful description of the metamorphosis of the fern through the seasons.
