Revelling in Autumnal Beauty
Two weeks ago I showcased all the flowers that were still blooming in our yard. They have all succumbed to two nights of frost. But with the frost also came the fall colours in our valley, which on a sunny day bring cheer and joy to our hearts. I captured these precious moments on my way from Fauquier to Nakusp. Enjoy.

Nice pictures, Peter. Fall hasn’t hit us in Northern California yet. The temperature is still in the high 80s every day and when it gets windy we have to watch out for wildfires.

It’s interesting to me how the light seems different in each of the photographs. Of course, that’s the nature of light in nature — always changing, always highlighting the landscape in a different way. You certainly do have a gorgeous landscape to enjoy — and I’m enjoying seeing it, too.

One could to your observation that one could take a photo of the same object using the same angle and position and still get a totally different picture under varying light conditions. Thank you very much for your kind comment!

There has been snow on our mountain tops for quite some time and they do enhance the landscape with their white pinnacles.
