Ice on Retreat
Last weekend, we had another look at Heart Creek which was still covered over with ice only two weeks ago. What a pleasant surprise that the Canada geese had returned to the golf course and the water had eaten away a lot of ice from our creek! The sight of brilliant sunshine, Canada geese, and Old Man Winter losing its grip is our hope that Spring is just around the corner. Here are three photos I took last weekend.

For about a year now, I have been creating a variety of mostly cheerful songs. I started off using the free Apple DAW, known as Garageband. When I began to like it, I advanced to Logic Pro. If you could spend an entire lifespan learning it, there would still be features left to be explored. So what shall I say as an octogenarian? I hope you will like the little tune below.
Beautiful photos, as always.

Its looking good, Peter! Here nearly all snow has gone. Only in hollows that don’t get any sun (what sun? haha) there is still some left.
A nice, glad tune, Peter, good for the ear and the heart.

An energetic tune, Peter!
Yes, I can imagine that you need a whole lifespan to master such a toll to the upmost.
I never learnt to play music, but I#m a music lover, still exploring the genres which joung people develop and show on various electronic magazines.
As for winter, her im Germany, spring hasn’t fully arrived yet. Mainly because of rain, that covers nearly every day!
So I eagerly await the reurn of lovely insects. Nontheless I already had discovered 3 new insects already, one in January in Fuertereventura.
So let’s see what the next days will look like.

You must be happy about the warmer weather coming. (I’m not though.)

Your pictures could pass for Austin five weeks ago. Still, you have a lot more reason than we do to want Old Man Winter to depart (it’s supposed to reach 28°C here tomorrow).

Fantastic pictures!
Here, we haven’t had any “real” winter yet, and very likely none will come.

If it weren’t for winter, we wouldn’t get to enjoy these beautiful ice creations. But it’s nice to know that spring will come next. 🌷

I remember how exciting the spring thaw could be. It’s good to see that it’s coming to your part of the world now — and with such beautiful, clear water! I think your song and the music of the water belong together!
