Wednesday’s Photos
First Day of November Photo Session
Brilliant sunshine greeted us at the start of a usual gray and foggy November day. Foul and colder weather was in the forecast. So my wife and I hurried to make good use of such a rare opportunity at this time of the year. Unfortunately by the time we reached our destination, ominous clouds had rolled in and covered the sky. To our great delight, most trees were still showing off their autumn colours. So despite the dark sky, we had a leisurely photo session down at the local golf course. Enjoy.

Absolutely lovely autumn impressions.

Beautiful! Now these are some proper autumn colors, what a great show these trees put on. Or dropped off, I should say.

The colors are lovely, but I did smile at your bird. He blends in quite nicely with the autumn palette! My favorite photo is the next-to-last: the ‘half-and-half’ trees: two still golden, and two with their bare branches.

Thank you, Linda, for your words of appreciation! Seeing things in nature like the leaf-bird has become a great gift which allows me to focus on shapes that other people may not see at all.

Your autumn captures are like a color carpet.

It’s rewarding to see you still had so much fall foliage this far into the season. Those low clouds add a nice touch.

Then there are the larch trees which give our forests a golden touch.

Peter, I love the variegated colors in Autumn. I, too, would have hurried to get those photos. Mother Nature is getting ready for the different hues of winter. Enjoy! 🙂

Photography is amazing with good sunshine however, even with clouds the place looks beautiful. Last few days before the winter sets in?

You are right. The first snow fell just a few days later.

Stunning gold and brown carpet. And the grass still very green on the golf course. Are non-golfers allowed to stroll on the course? It is a strict no-no on all courses here.

One can walk on this golf course during the off-season. The rules are less strict at this rural location.
