Natural Splendour of the Arrow Lakes

Mount Scaia

Here we come!

Two months ago, we had already made an attempt to reach the top of Mount Scaia. As I reported in an earlier post, we failed, because at 1900 m the snow was getting too deep to proceed without the risk of getting stuck. Several weeks later with the heat wave already in full swing, our son Michael invited us to try it again. Whether you believe or not, there was still snow on the road. But Michael’s truck had no trouble ploughing through it. Great was the view of this amazing landscape, no matter in which direction we looked. With a light breeze that kept the horseflies and mosquitoes under control, the mountain air felt cool at 27 degrees C compared to the stifling 36 degrees down in the valley. I selected a few photos for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

I recently combined four of my earlier compositions into what I call “Potpourri”.

    • Dear blogging friend, thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful comment! Lately, I have been overwhelmed by family events that mostly take place in the summer. Later in the fall I will be able to write comments again. Kindest regards! Peter
