Bumblebee in the Raspberry Patch

Checking out our rapberry plants yesterday, I noticed a mob of pollen addicted bumblebees swarming among the raspberry flowers. With so many of those critters busily circling the flowering berry plants. I had to face a major challenge to capture them with my camera. Alas, out of the 20 shots I took, only one turned out reasonably sharp. Bumblebees take less than a second to grab a tiny portion of pollen, then they are off in search of another flower.

Two wildflowers eager to be captured

Going leisurely on a photography hunt around our yard, I discovered two flowers waving at me in the gentle morning breeze. Not being very good at identifying wildflowers, I used the app PictureThis on my iPhone.

Welcome, May

For the beginning of May, I decided to publish a photo of a magnolia bush splendidly showing off its blossoms in April.

A recent warm spell attracted a multitude of our feathery friends, sparrows, robins, and humming birds.

A photo session in the nearby woods led us to a larch branch that offered a refreshing view of its new needles.
