A few days before Christmas our son Stefan and his partner Laura went into the mountains to hunt for our Christmas tree. He recorded their adventure on video, which I would like to share with all my friends who might not be familiar with masses of snow in our nook of the world in Canada. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone and all a Happy and Blessed New Year.

It must be really depressing to get so much rain. I feel sorry for you people in Hamburg, who must experience this dreariness for months on end. On the other hand if you have to shovel snow all day to clear the pathways and driveway, you sometimes wish it was snow. There is something which we call ‘too much of a good thing’. Peter, we travel all over the world during the Spring, Summer and Autumn months but seldom venture out of the Bay Area during the Winter. What is all that white stuff?

The white stuff is mostly water that drifts up to Canada from California during the winter and comes down in flakes. Haha! Best wishes for 20181

What a good sport to go out in such deep snow to cut a Christmas Tree..

We have had a disaster with icy rain Trees tumbling and down our Apt. Building

Ja, als ich Stefans Video sah, war auch ich gleich begeistert und bat ihn um Erlaubnis, es in meinen Blog zu setzen. Das Video ist ja wie eine Bombe eingeschlagen und hat mehr als 300 Likes kassiert. Morgen fahre ich zur weiteren Behandlung nach Kelowna.

Ein wunderbares Video, vor allem der Einstieg in die Schneebank war witzig.
Ich kann mich nur an ein einziges Mal erinnern, ähnliches in Deutschland erlebt zu haben, vor etwa 30 Jahren.
