Cheerful Colours Dispelling the Winter Blues
When the sky is gray and the mood is blue, our hearts and minds get a healthy boost at every bit of colour we discover walking over snow and ice. That happens every time the heavy cloud cover is rolled back, although just for a short moment, and the sun lights up the landscape from a blue sky. The rosehips, all dressed in red coats, are particularly pleasing to the winter-worn-out eyes Enjoy.

The rose hips are always great to take pictures from. Today io took pics from socalled winterflies and a single ladybird.
It’s still cold but I think the next days will be different.

I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so we can see more of your “signs of spring.”

They look gorgeous against the blue sky!
Just out of curiosity, do you have birds in your area that don’t fly south in winter? Here rosehips are part of the staying birds’ diet during winter

There’s some white stuff all over the hills surrounding us down here. Haven’t figured out what it is, yet!

That first photo is especially cheerful; the fruits combine so well with the blue sky and white clouds. That said, your eagerness for spring is palpable; We’re into March now, so next month ought to bring some new color into your world.

Looking at these bright rosehips is good for one’s spirit. Eating a few gives a good Vitamin C boost to ward off colds.

My wife collects them and makes tea. Another gift from Old Man Winter!

I think the absence of color is what makes winter so dreary for me up in Massachusetts. Fortunately down here in Florida there are flowers and green and the gorgeous blue-green of the ocean even in the winter. Lovely photo!

It is good to have warmer and sunnier alternatives in your country.

So you’re shooting from—or at least at—the hip.
