Octopus Creek Adventure
On October 7, the sun was shining under a cloudless sky. There was no wind. A strong breeze would have created a nasty wind chill that would have spoiled the semblance of a late summer day. My wife and I decided to visit the recently discovered beach area at Octopus Creek about 15 km south of Fauquier. We spent a delightful afternoon sun bathing, dancing, braving the chilly waters with a refreshing swim in the Arrow Lake, and enjoying coffee and cake. The bottle of wine and the two glasses were just added for the romantic look. If the Indian summer continues, we might be back and add a campfire to our joyful activities, if the air should be much cooler. At almost eighty and for me at eighty-two, things can’t get much better than this. Carpe diem. Enjoy.
Nice!😀
