April Showers: Will there be flowers?
Last week, we had plenty of rain and dark clouds billowing in the Arrow Lakes valley. On the bright side, clumps of snowdrops were popping up, brightening up our sun-starved spirits. Making use of the sporadic moments of sunshine, I captured a few of these graceful flowers.

Certainly we must not forget the bright colours of a tulip.

The hairy Stuwwelpeter of the clematis is a delight to view.

I think the Struwwelpeter reference is perfect!

Having no idea what Struwwelpeter is, or what it has to do with Clematis seed heads, I looked it up.

I know the snowdrops are beloved as a sign of impending spring, but I do love a tulip!

Last year’s blossoms meet this year’s spring flowers … I also detected pearl hyacinths in the tulip photo. It is so good when the earth comes alive again … against all odds. We have storm David over here right now, quite bad up north, the ferries to Norway didn’t sail today and yesterday. But nothing like tornados and tsunamis …
