The Drop Hunters

Wednesday’s Photos

Last week my wife and I drove out to our favourite site, the Taite Creek campground, to escape the winter blues, which invariably set in, when we are cooped up for too long within the confines of our four walls. The effect was gratifying and we felt refreshed from our walk down to the lake. We also were rewarded by the many different drops we were able to catch on our cameras. Enjoy!

The Magic of Water Droplets

We find much beauty in water droplets. After the rain we discover these brilliant jewels clinging to leaves or hanging precariously from cedar and fir branches. They often reflect in their tiny mirrors the fascinating world around them. At times the photographer finds himself hidden in their magic imagery. All five photos have been captured during past couple of days. Enjoy.

The Magic of Water Droplets

Recently Jodi’s poetic blog ‘creative life in between’ inspired me to search in my archives for some photos with water droplets. And just yesterday I viewed some more water droplets in Gerhard’s blog ‘kopfundgestalt’.

The five photos show the wonders of the inner life of a water droplet. You may find in them reflections of the outside world, when hit by the sun rays at just the right angle they shine like the finest diamonds, and if you look hard enough, you may find yourself encapsulated in the eternal beauty of the most precious element of life. Welcome to the world of macro photography! Enjoy.
