Wednesday’s Photos
A Walk to Heart Creek
We call the onslaught of one storm after another sweeping in from the wild Pacific the Hawaiian express. The rainfalls were at times so severe that several towns have been put under evacuation alert or even evacuation orders. On Monday many of the major highways in our province have been blocked by terrible landslides. So far here at the Arrow Lakes, we have experienced more moderate weather but we had to stay indoors as it was raining most of the time. When the rain finally let up for a few hours, my wife and I went to the golf course and visited our creek which provides the drinking water for our little community. Here is a glimpse of this short but joyful moment. Enjoy.
Joyful, yes! So much water in the creek!

What a delightful walk you and Biene! The joy in her step, the green grass and the bubbling creek brought smiles. Glad you had a respite from the Storms.

Lovely scenery. That was one big puddle! I hope Biene’s feet didn’t get too wet.

Glad to hear that the Arrow Lakes were not hid as hard as some other spots in British Columbia! Thanks for the beautiful clip, Peter!

Yes, with her kind disposition it is like in the song “you ease my troubles that’s what you do … ” (Have I told you lately)

Hi Peter, I am glad that the landslides didn’t hit you, as you already had to deal with so much this season. You know after following your love story with Biene, it is such a delight to see her in actions like in some of your videos, I understand why you fell in love with her. Have a great splendid week, Peter and Biene.

Last few days we are hearing news of the devastation on the Canadian west coast on account of heavy rains with homes, highways and farmland under water. Just a few weeks after you had the forest fires. Extreme weather events are becoming more and more frequent.

Yes, another wake-up call to make some drastic changes to the ways we deal with the environment.

This is the first I’ve heard of the Hawaiian express and storms in your area.
I guess there was no danger of getting hit by a golf ball while walking on the course at that time.

The only other visitors of the Fauquier golf course at this time of the year are the Canada geese.

I take it the geese don’t drive golf balls.
