When the snow is too deep to shovel, the wind howling around the house and the thermometer reaches rock bottom, one begins to yearn for sunshine, warmth and flowers to cheer you up. I found a few pictures in my archive, which gave me a big lift. Enjoy.
Last week I postponed the presentation of wildflowers that were blooming at our lookout south of Fauquier BC. Now that the summer has officially started and a major possibly long-lasting heat wave is upon us, I would like to share with you the images of the wildflowers I captured on June 10. I do not know the names of the flowers on pictures 2 and 5. Perhaps the two Steves who have an outstanding knowledge of wildflowers can help me with the identification. The first photo with the daisy also shows the Arrow Lake in the background giving a clear idea of how high the lookout is above the lake. I discovered the bee on the tigerlily only after processing the image. Enjoy.
The grass is starting to grow. The grey cover of our yard is showing a hint of green. The raised garden beds have been prepared for the spring season. Soon it will be the time for planting the cold weather crops. Our strawberries are getting busy developing their buds and promise a bountiful harvest. This is the second and final instalment of my excursion into my archives. Today I am focusing on daisies, violets, a tiger lily, and an unknown beauty. Enjoy.

The days are getting shorter, the air is crisp in the early morning hours, bees and bumblebees slumber longer on our sunflowers, the redfish are spawning, the signs of autumn are written on Nature’s colourful pages. As we journey from one season into another, it is seems fitting to devote a blog post to the eternal cycle of our four seasons country. I selected a few images from my archive presenting Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter in that order. Enjoy.
One way to bring some joy to our hearts during the dreary days of winter is to remember the bright and cheerful colours, with which the wild flowers bedecked the landscape during spring, summer and fall. It is my hope that you will like the small sample of roses, daisies, tiger lilies and other floral beauties whose names I do not even know. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my followers for their past comments and likes for my blog and to wish each and everyone a very Blessed Christmas!
