Natural Splendour of the Arrow Lakes

Revelling in Autumnal Beauty

Two weeks ago I showcased all the flowers that were still blooming in our yard. They have all succumbed to two nights of frost. But with the frost also came the fall colours in our valley, which on a sunny day bring cheer and joy to our hearts. I captured these precious moments on my way from Fauquier to Nakusp. Enjoy.

  1. I wish I had your skills as a photographer and could capture and share the amazingly gorgeous colors surrounding us now. These are beautiful—love the snow on the mountaintop!

  2. It’s interesting to me how the light seems different in each of the photographs. Of course, that’s the nature of light in nature — always changing, always highlighting the landscape in a different way. You certainly do have a gorgeous landscape to enjoy — and I’m enjoying seeing it, too.

    1. One could to your observation that one could take a photo of the same object using the same angle and position and still get a totally different picture under varying light conditions. Thank you very much for your kind comment!
